General Workforce
- Total PHSO staffing at the end of Quarter 4 was 435.59 full time equivalent (FTE), this represents an increase, from 435.06 FTE, on the previous quarter.
- PHSO’s 12 month rolling turnover figure has remained at 12.0%. This is higher than the turnover rate at this time last year where turnover was 9.4%.
Equality and Diversity
- Race: The overall BAME profile has increased slightly to 14.9% (Quarter 3 – 14.4%), this compares favourably with the 2011 Census figures where the BAME profile was 14.0%.
- Gender profile: The profile across Manchester and London is consistent, female employees have a higher representation in both locations, at just over 60% in each location.
- Disability: 10.0% of employees in London and 8.4% of employees in Manchester have a disclosed disability, London is now equal to the 10% benchmark, with Manchester being slightly below. Disclosed disability for PHSO as a whole has increased to 9.5%, (7.0% for Quarter 3).
- Age: Employees in the 25 - 49 age range make up 75.2% of PHSO staff, the percentage is greater in the Manchester office (79.2%).
- Sexual Orientation: The proportion of staff disclosing their sexuality has increased slightly to 84.7% (Quarter 3 - 83.6%). The percentage of employees declaring their orientation as LGBT has increased slightly to 5.4%. (5.0% in Quarter 3).
- Religion or belief: The percentage of those who ‘prefer not to say’ has decreased to 16.2% (Quarter 3 – 16.8%).
- Payband: There is no change in BAME representation in Paybands S1 and S3. However, 33.3% of employees in payband S2, 15.4% of employees in payband SA1 and 14.3% of employees in payband SA2 are from a BAME background.
