Government performance information
We want to help public sector organisations to learn from complaints and to make public services better for everyone.
We provide each government department with an annual analysis of the complaints we’ve received from the public about them and the organisations they are responsible for. This is an important part of our work to support organisations in improving the way they deal with complaints themselves and the services they deliver.
The analysis for each government department includes: the number of complaints we’ve received and whether this is an increase or decrease on the previous year, qualitative information on the issues people are complaining to us about, our observations on where things need to improve, and any examples we have seen of good complaint handling.
