Investigation update: Staffordshire Dentist accepts our recommendations in full

Here you can read an update following our investigation

In June 2011, we published the findings of our investigation of a complaint about Staffordshire dentist Rajesh Narendranath (known as Mr Nath).  His failure to apologise after his rough treatment of the complainant, Mrs D, caused her distress and left her feeling ‘shocked and offended’. We upheld the complaint, and because of Mr Nath’s refusal to accept our recommendations to put things right for Mrs D, we took the step of publishing the details of the case.

By putting the details in the public domain, we hoped that Mr Nath would be encouraged to acknowledge his patient’s concerns and act to address them.

Following the publication of our report, we are pleased to note that Mr Nath has accepted our recommendations in full.

In August 2011, Mr Nath provided an acknowledgement of his failings, an official apology and £500 compensation for the complainant.
