When asked for their preference in accessing the Parliamentary Ombudsman, only 16 per cent (22 per cent of those who obtained an MP referral within the time limit and 8 per cent of those who did not) said that they would prefer to access the Parliamentary Ombudsman via an MP.
The majority of the customers participating in the survey (60 per cent) stated that they would rather access the Parliamentary Ombudsman directly.
