When we asked our customers how they felt when they were first told that they needed an MP referral (respondents could give more than one answer):
53 per cent said they thought it was an unnecessary extra step or delay in the procedure.
34 per cent said they did not feel it was a problem, and that it was just part of the process.
13 per cent were concerned that their MP might be unwilling or unable to help.
3 per cent thought it would add weight to their case
