Those from certain ethnic origins
The MP filter also appears to be more of a deterrent to people from certain ethnic origins. Overall, those from a minority ethnic origin were even less likely to use the Parliamentary Ombudsman because of the MP filter than those from a white ethnic origin.

If we look at the groups who make up the minority ethnic figure, we see that people from certain ethnic origins are particularly deterred by the MP filter. For example, 32 per cent of those who declared their ethnic origin as ‘Pakistani’ and 37 per cent of those who declared their ethnic origin as ‘any other Asian’ said the MP filter made them less likely to use the Parliamentary Ombudsman.
