Of the 19 per cent who originally said the MP filter would make them less likely to use the Parliamentary Ombudsman:
23 per cent said this was because they thought it would delay the case
18 per cent said they would rather deal with the case themselves
15 per cent said it was because they did not trust MPs
8 per cent said it was because they did not support their MP’s political party
8 per cent said it was too much hassle
(Respondents were allowed to choose more than one reason.)
