Selected Cases and Summaries of Completed Investigations - October 2000 to March 2001
Volume 4 - 2nd REPORT - SESSION 2001-2002
Section 10(4) of the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967 empowers me to lay before each House of Parliament such reports with respect to my functions as I think fit.
I now lay before Parliament the following summaries and edited texts of 13 selected case reports out of 133 investigations completed between 1 October 2000 and 31 March 2001. This is in accordance with my past practice. The case reports include some issued under authority delegated by me. The pronoun ‘I’ in the relevant summaries and texts refers to the member of staff concerned and not to me.
This is in accordance with the complainant’s preferences and with his full and informed consent.
I have not included a summary of one investigation which was completed in the period, case C.429/00, since the full text of that case was reported in the prior volume of selected cases (HC303).
In this volume I refer to the departments according to the titles and functions which they held in the period October 2000 to March 2001
