Ombudsman comments on dental charging study by Which?

Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, Julie Mellor, said:

We know from our casework that dentists as well as patients are confused about NHS dental charges and that dentists need to communicate better with their patients. We will soon be publishing our own evidence on this.

'It is important that dentists ensure they are explaining the various treatment options and prices to patients so they are able to make informed decisions.'
