Ombudsman Rob Behrens wrote to the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Michael Gove, asking about the Government's plans for an inquiry into the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. In order to inform his planning for which complaints to prioritise and what systemic reviews PHSO should undertake, he expressed his desire to understand:
- the structure and independence of the framework being considered for any review(s) to be established
- how peoples' personal experiences of health and public services would be incorporated.
